ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra Announces Auditions

Auditions are being held in July for openings in ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra. Interested performers are asked to call as soon as possible to reserve an audition time on one of the dates below. Currently the Chorale numbers approximate 60 singers and the Orchestra has 45 musicians. PMAZ performs four to six major concerts each year featuring music from many genres; popular, Broadway, folk and classical. PMAZ is a volunteer non-profit community music organization based in Anthemserving musicians and audiences from throughout theNorth Phoenix Valley. Prospective members must be available to attend weekly rehearsals held at Boulder Creek High School every Monday night beginningmid-August throughout Mid-May. Interested musicians and singers should be at least of "intermediate" music capabilities. Vocalists should be prepared tosing "America the Beautiful", sight read and vocalize in your range. Instrumentalists: bring a 2 minute song of your choice, 2 scales (one major and one minor, harmonic or natural) in your range. Percussion: Mallets same as above. Strings: Suzuki level 3 or better; scales to 5 sharps and flats for all players.
