ProMusica Arizona Concert to be Spellbinding
“Songs that Go Bump in the Night”
Halloween is just around the corner. Don’t miss ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra this weekend and get into the spirit. Now in its sixth concert season, PMAZ will enchant you with songs from the popular Broadway musical, Wicked, “Harry Potter” movies, Symphonie Fantastique, Spells, Monster Mash and many more. Some of the actual titles of the music may not be familiar, like Funeral March of the Marionette. Yet, most people will recognize it as the theme song to Alfred Hitchcock. Other song selections will hold you spellbound with fond musical memories and an evening of enjoyment.
PMAZ Artistic Director, Kevin Kozacek has chosen a terrific program of music to delightfully tickle our imaginations with the dark side of human nature. The fun but spooky feeling the music occasionally evokes is derived from popular stories and legends that excite our imaginations. Examples of some of these stories are “Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, “The Wizard of Oz”, and the “Harry Potter” literary series. The enticing music in this concert allows the listener to experience these chilling feelings in an entertaining and cathartic way.
More than 100 volunteer members of ProMusica Arizona have had great fun preparing this tantalizing evening of music appropriate for ages. The concert is Friday and Saturday, October 17 & 18 at 7:30pm at Boulder Creek High School Performing Arts Center. 41414 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway, Anthem, 85086. Advance Ticket prices begin at $10 for Students and $15 for adults. Tickets will be slightly more at the door. Advance tickets sales available at Andrew Z Fine Diamonds & Jewelry, Anthem Community Center, Chase Bank (Anthem) & Deer Valley Credit Union (Anthem).
