Local Businesses “Instrumental” To Promusica Arizona
In Bringing Music To The Community

ProMusica Arizona Chorale & Orchestra is singing the praises of the twelve local businesses that are partnering to sponsor the 2008-9 concert season.   PMAZ is extremely thankful for generous donations from The USAA Foundation (Gold Sponsor), and West Valley Pediatric Dentistry and Wood Orthodontics (Silver Sponsors). These donations will partially underwrite the ongoing season expenses.

PMAZ is shouting bravo to the following businesses who are sponsoring specific concerts. “Songs that Go Bump in the Night”, on October 17th & 18th is sponsored by the Outlets at Anthem and North Valley Rayne Water Conditioning.  Andrew Z Diamonds and Fine Jewelry and Chase Bank are  sponsoring the “Gloria, Halleluiah” concerts on December 12th & 13th.  M&I Bank is sponsoring the “Dance the Night Away” Dinner Dance on March 13th and Concert on March 14th. The final season concert, “Fast Fingers and Keys” on May 15th & 16th is brought to us by Gutowski Cabinet Works.   Season Media sponsors generously help ProMusica Arizona publicize our concerts:  Freedom Way Magazine, The Foothills Focus, ImagesAZ, and IN&OUT Magazine.

A vibrant arts community is key to attracting new residents and businesses to the north valley area. As an example, Principal, Dr. Mai-Lon Wong of Gavilan Peak Elementary School brought prospective music teacher, Kirk Douglas, to PMAZ’s May concert. During that “Family Fun Fables and Tall Tales” concert, third graders from Gavilan Peak performed on stage with ProMusica Arizona. The performances were the culmination of an eight-week, 54-session outreach program, co-sponsored with the Arts Council of the North Valley. PMAZ professional staff presented a cross-curriculum program of literature through music to all third graders at Gavilan Peak.

Mr. Douglas said, “I was totally blown away by this tremendous program ProMusica Arizona had put together for the students and families in this community. I don’t think most people in Anthem realize what an extraordinary opportunity it is for youngsters to sing with a live orchestra. It is rare, almost unheard of. It was fabulous to have this high quality resource available to our children. As a society we need more of this in our lives. It quite frankly was one of the major selling points for me to come teach at this school.  I currently live in Scottsdale and am now looking to relocate here in Anthem.”

PMAZ board member and spokesperson, Connie Campbell Henry adds, “ProMusica Arizona is proud of its ever growing role in building a stronger community through music. We are extremely thankful to have garnered such wonderful support and partnerships with businesses, individuals and volunteers who work together for a vibrant arts community which benefits the entire community.”

PMAZ draws audiences into Anthem from all over the north valley, Phoenix, Cottonwood, Prescott and even Flagstaff. To make concert nights even more special, PMAZ offers discount dining coupons at local participating restaurants to advance ticket buyers via its new email coupon program. This is a win/win/win situation for PMAZ, its patrons and participating restaurants.

You just may be spellbound by the PMAZ’s season opener “Songs that go Bump in the Night”, October 17th & 18th at 7:30 p.m. at Boulder Creek High School Performing Arts Center. Prepare to be enchanted by music from Harry Potter, Broadway’s Wicked, Funeral March of the Marionette (Alfred Hitchcock theme), Symphonie Fantastique, Monster Mash, and many more.
