ProMusica Invites Anthem Residents to "Dance the Night Away"

Written by Karen Angelo

Promusica will be holding its next concert, “Dance the Night Away,” on Friday, March 13th, at 6:30pm at the Anthem Ironwood Country Club. Sponsored by M&I Bank, this dinner/dance concert performance will feature everything from Strauss Waltzes and Ellington Jazz to DooWop and Rock. During dinner, professional dancers from Ambiant Dance will thrill guests with fancy steps and fascinating rhythms to the samba, salsa, swing, tango, waltz and more. The Chorale will serenade guests during dessert, then they will have the opportunity to hit the dance floor to strut their stuff either together or with one of the dance professionals, who will happily usher them around the dance floor.

The $100 ticket price includes dinner, concert, dancing and a coupon for a free dance lesson at Ambiant Dance in Scottsdale, a $75 value. Advanced ticket sales are highly suggested due to limited seating. A concert-only performance featuring professional dancers from Ambiant Dance dancing on stage to selected numbers while the PMAZ Orchestra and Chorale perform, will take place on Saturday, March 14th at 7:30pm at Boulder Creek High School. Tickets for this event are $15/Adults and $10/Students and all tickets can be purchased at www.promusicaaz.org
Ambiant Dance founder and featured dancer Robert Blair says, “Our troupe is loving the artistic challenge of choreographing the orchestral arrangements of these beloved songs. An evening like this is total entertainment, and very uplifting. We are excited to be collaborating with ProMusica Arizona for this special event.”

PMAZ spokesperson Connie Campbell Henry explains that television shows like “Dancing with the Stars” have sparked a resurgence of interest in ballroom dance. “At our Friday night dinner dance,” she says, “you can watch the professionals and enjoy twirling your sweetheart around the dance floor.”

ProMusica Arizona is a community chorale and orchestra comprised of more than 60 singers and 45 musicians from throughout the North Valley. PMAZ is committed to building community through music by providing performance opportunities for talented musicians and delighting audiences of all ages.
