Announcing ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra's 2007-2008 Concert Season Friday and Saturday, November 16 th and 17 th , 7:30 p.m. Take out your mittens, scarves and boots because, "Snow, Sleighs & Leroy's 100th Birthday" concert will get you in the mood for winter. Enjoy the Chorale's performance of "Winter Wonderland", "The Bells", "Blow Thou Winter Wind", and "Dashing Through the Snow". In recognition of Leroy Anderson's 100th birthday, the Orchestra will take you back to some old favorites like "The Typewriter", "The Syncopated Clock", and the grand finale of "Sleigh Ride" (you know, the one with the "horse whinny and whip crack"?) Guest soprano soloist Elizabeth Rose from Puerto Rico , a prize winning lyric soprano, will add a superb artistic dynamic to three of Leroy Anderson's songs, including "Blue Tango". Sunday, December 16th, 5:00 p.m. Delight in the sounds and themes of the holiday season and a sumptuous dinner served at Anthem Country Club's beautiful Ironwood Clubhouse Ballroom. Traditional Hanukkah and Christmas carols, medleys, audience sing-a-longs and ProMusica soloists and ensembles will entertain you as the staff of Ironwood Clubhouse serves a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. These and other stories are asked and answered at this family-friendly and fun concert that celebrates some of the great fables and tall tales told through music. Join the PMAZ Orchestra and Chorale for works by Prokofiev, Dorff, Adler, Britten, Pottle and Pfautsch.
